HELLO Im tesselate and Im back reviewing, and first up we have Split ep 3 from ye Airecords, 7 tracks of goodness from 7 different artists.

Lets go's :

"Arc_b_reddit" from FZV is first up and drops a almost robotic sounding march on your ears, and then soothes your android listening valves with a nice smooth jewel like droplet and underlying rumbling which keeps you looking over your shoulder. The bass machine then attacks with a hammer bash rhythm which leaves you shattered in a gillion pieces on the floor, whilst your minature army of re-engineered 9 volt batteries come to your defense and unleash hell, with a spiralling lazer barrage which lights up the fog laden sky. It certainly is all good.

Jacen Solo is up next with "shake remix". Slowly unfolding itself, and gradually releasing a bassline which is shaking the paintings off the wall here, its like a rubiks cube carved out of the Decepticons favourite Energon cubes, and then rolled through a metropolis at light speed. Chugging and thudding, what cant you not like? A new name to the Ai team is up next, Blodyn tatws with "bran". It opens with a sparkling octagon rammed to the rafters with glowing squares and pulsing triangles, all bound together with a flowing almost violin like undercurrent, that trips the memory storage device in your mind. Colourful, bulging and glass melting coolness from Bran, well played.

Yerks "pursuit" drops you in the middle of a fracturing upside down world thats carved into a dark metallic landscape thats immediately pelted from above with ticking and scratching minimal beads, which roll underneath your feet causing you to scuttle around like a malfunctioning turtle. The bass drops in and crashes into your shin, as the 4am melody warps darkness into material like patterns which hang in the sky like clouds on pause, all with a sinister smile permenantly in place. Cool stuff.

Jensen Sportag plonks "just a part of me" in your lap and waits for a reponse. Simple and chimey from the beginning, you can tell something is just waiting to talk to you, and then a pillow vocoded android voice talks at you from nowhere, as a thudding bassball ricochets around the room, releasing pockets of 80s replicant bounce for everyone to soak in. Get on down and then up and then down again, im afraid its mandatory. Sinner DC are back to say hello with "northbeach" and we all say hello back. This one is a large continually transforming entity thats being filtered through a rich alcohol soaked piece of technology, and is loving it. Out of the other side you get a waveform covered in new sections which have been bonded together with tiny detailed stitches which are too complex to even look at, but cool to listen to.

Michael Manning ends the release with "flytothemoon". The goldest robot in the world welcomes you in with a message from the stars, smiles and then reveals a secret message etched into the dark side of the moon. The trip through the richest and brightest areas of space continues, as pulsing emblems jettison from distant planets whilst meteor showers self smooth themselves into oblivion at the touch of a single silver button.Just hold on and ride the creative coolness, props!

Split ep3 continues in fine form from 1 and 2. Seven tracks of inspirational music from ai artists new and old, which accesses that special place in your squashy brain where all the good stuff is stored and files away all by itself, its the quality stuff.

Super recommended
