The super elusive noisedestructors Tatamax are back with a new release
on Quinoline Yellows label 'Uchelfa'.
"Terete" opens the cd with a rumbling that would tear
buildings from their foundations, whilst plasticine scuffles and
tiny meteorites made of lost radio transmissions battle for supremacy
in the darkness. Vocal slices appear from the mist and leave a
mysterious message which gradually ebbs away whilst the 2001 style
ambience takes you by the hand and skips over the horizon. Intelligent
stuff.
"Wolves leap" is a tiny speed run into that bulging
formation down the bottom of the garden. Just remember to wipe
your feet when you come back in whilst "Visibly destroyed
but can't look away" takes you through your stored memories
and blasts you with snippets of forgotten conservations, pockets
of videogame joy and subliminal messages that you never knew you
knew. This one is deep space in a musical form, a worthy continuation
to B12's soundtrack of space.
"Ebychiad64" bubbles and mumbles its instructions towards
you, whilst its circular eyes flash themselves to death. The simple
melody of this track combined with the dull roar of abandoned
cities and hidden data transfers which infiltrate your mind all
work perfect together.
Check this one. "No one ate turkey that year" persuades
your brain to relax with a calm and cleansing angelic melody,
packed with pulsing parcels of light, popping laser strikes and
world jumping doorways Just remember that this is all being filmed
from the smallest helicopter in the world that is formed of individual
droplets of rain and translucent snow crystals, and is currently
hovering over your right shoulder....just take a look...it IS
there. Soyperb track.
Tatamax - Crasis is a quality piece of music. Ranging from harsh
mechanical buzzes and technology warping thuds, through to playful
and charming excursions into the best blue sky and green land
adventure you could ever imagine.
Get this release and dissapear into the world of Tatamax.
Love it.
