Split cd release on Boltfish. The Tandem series 1 has tracks from Test Pressing and October Man, let’s take a listen.

Test pressing:

"Veselo" scratches around in its dark secret hideout in the bowels of your personal computer, causing ruffles electric zaps and modem memories to be released. After a good rummage around a fuzzy melody winds itself together and spits out a message strewn with bubbling rewinds, stammering almost vocal injections and a super happy cat relay which has your mouth and mind splitting at the seems. Super cool stuff.
"Dinonoke" is your personal theme tune as you evade capture in pulse pixelation paradise with batteries for legs and a constantly revolving radar hub for a head, whilst "Sad stream which is going to become the river" bridges the gap between the real world and that 8 bit land you have visited so many times before, with an atmospheric stretch of expanding landscapes welded together with a thick rich and creamy spring laden theme beat which keeps you under its masterful gaze for the whole 5m 54 sec. Also 2 cool for school.

October Man:

"Lets go out" pounds so slowly and intently that you give in to its world defining callings, whilst still trying to keep a grasp in your alternative alternate reality, without melting into this reality and losing yourself in time. "False" revolves around in the air just like that thing in 'Chocky' spitting off sections of light and tuneful glow powered globules. Further into the track, it develops an intriguing element of espionage, with mumbling pieces of equipment communicating with each other through thick smoke, and overhead weapons leaving audio traces in the sky, which fall to earth like feathers with tiny sweeping jetpacks. Beep deep and smiles for all.

"Things to remember" opens with a sunshine second of majestic proportions, as it relays the beauty of the situation through a series of glass clarity chimes, warm synth slices and acoustic warblings, which slot together like the easiest jigsaw in the world. A really really stunning piece of music, which in its 2m 32s lifespan does a lot of of things without you knowing. Amazing.

The Tandem: Series one is a striking release. From the computerized jump powerup stories of Test Pressing (who I can’t wait to hear more of), through to the universe wide fables of October Man, this is one release which has you captured from the very first track.

Rich blip stargazing, that you can’t say no to. Recommended stuff.
