NEW NEW release from Cactus Island recordings, from Barry Leake under his ' Weave ' guise with the album ' of the nature tone'

"deeptwit" kicks it off with a bombdive into a puzzling array of stringy lights and shape shifting globules of porous audio. Its almost like wading through knee high treacle on a mission to invade next doors marzipan factory, using your icing wings and resonating feet to catch the warm air flows and float effortlessly to your chosen destination. Warm and beautifully programmed throughout. " Scuffing bow!" then takes over with its playful mixture of scattering drumbeats and space bending rattles, all carefully held together by the sparkling melody which almost has an air of early Squarepusher to it.
"Rheomode" then injects a sense of thought and contemplation into the mixture with its stuttering blend of synthetic robotic hair blowing in the wind, all stitched together in a light pastry parcel with a striking drum clatter which leaves a second smile on your face. Love it.

The next track dedicated the late John Peel "Minera" takes it down to the slow early morning activities we always hear but rarely see. Packed with charming jewel like formations which appear out of the dark chalky soil below and in turn, refract in the warm sunlight, giving off a friendly message to all those listening that everything is under control and there is nothing to worry about, whilst "Lux Natura" peels back the layers of metal between your rusty fingertips and the technology belo, revealing a glowing and pulsating world of intricate measure and protective film, that is just begging to be explored. Special attention required.

"Unky" is basically zips covered in tiny sharp hooks, which are then carefully wrapped around circular dice and dropped into liquid silver to create a brittle but full of life creation that just pisses character rich life from every pour...itttttsssss quality. "Spring" on the other small shrivelled semi machined hand is a code cracking and evolving ball of trouble from the very start. Plodding and snapping its way down the closed off corridor this one is upto no good, displaying a big furry smile on its face and snowdrifts smothered in melted chocolate dragging along behind, its just one big smiling capsule shaped formation of personality with nothing but everything to do. Cool stuff.

This full length release from Weave is another very accomplished release for the Resident Association series on Cactus Island recordings. Just grab your energon fuelled rucksack and jump backwards onto the double multicoloured rainbow that Weave spin with this album.mDouble recommendation from Tesselate on this one.
