It's time to put your hands in the air, and wave them liel
you've been discharged from care....
Mistake,
rewind, repeat ep is the first hip hop release on the Werk
imprint..infact its classed as electronic glip-hop bounce.
Stacs are based in London, Stockholm and Bognor Regis and
are apparently fresher than a Phillipino rent boy and about
to burst onto the scene with this debut release on Werk.
This ep features guest vocals from Big dada cohort Yarah
Bravo, and remoxes from dDamage and Para one....Lets check
it...
"Mistake,
rewind, repeat" bursts into your metal ears with sections
of sound, stripped from their base and metled together with
a slap happy bassline which is then crushed to oblivion
by the slamming vocals scraped through a super famicoms
bladder for good measure. A deep pulsing melody line underruns
the shredding sounds skimming past the mcs teeth, which
sounds like a high speed run through the deepest sections
of a seaside arcade, with cream on top. DO IT!
"Boy
go get your gun" cracks its together from the beginning
with pounding lyrics and distorted synth callings from the
smoke rich atmosphere..."throw your hands in the air
and wave them like you've never been scared, and if you
ever had a bullet straight through your soul, somebody say
hellll noooooo"....damn quality stuff. "For crying
out loud (that's loud)" takes it to another level.
8 bit craziness revels around in the distance, and scatters
translucent blocks of sunburnt chaos throughout, as the
stacs team lay it down like its going out of fashion. Beats,
repeats and console based treats....fuckin A.
Side
B consists of two remixes from dDamage and Para One, with
an instrumental of the title track for you to spit your
own stuff over.
Yehhh this is one hot release... Stacs have created a high
quality slab of glitch rom hop which keeps you in check
all the way through.....DEFINETLY check this one bitches.
