It is time for that special occasion which occurs once every couple of years...NEW AUTECHRE!!!. AE are back with their new album entitled ' Untilted '. Photos of Autechre live in London 14/04/05 coming next Issue!!

' LCC ' begins it all. A very hectic beat caressed by a snap happy snare strike kicks it all off, as pipey pings in the background merge together to form tall swaying structures that wobble and creek like skyscrapers in the midst of a tornadoes grip. Layers start to form, and stack on each other in an attempt to reach the secret level hidden high in the clouds which calls out from above like a ghost stuck inside a huge glass bell, will they make it?

Bang bang bang, ting ting scratch, its time for ' Ipacial Section '. Richicheting around like a lamb inside a teet factory, this one is miniscule but hectic all at the same time. Jabbering robots comment on the action and begin to overheat as their jaw valves buckle under the pressure of intense workout, but its not over for the viewers yet. Compressed marbles under pressure from the invisible gas all around them, scatter around in a playful manner like a game of screwball scramble inside the guts of a cement mixer, whilst the watching hordes freeze in place as the whole place begins to crumble and the mechanics behind this madness calmly walk out the back door. Cap.iv with a playful smile.
' Pro radii ' is a mountain rocking simulation, deep inside the most secret establishment in the world with its bassy universe cracking outbursts and skyline stripping mechanics whilst ' Augmatic Disport ' takes over control of your console and sends unbreakable code to itself in an attempt to strengthen its position, but ultimately scrambes its mind into a billion lines of code. Manic madness. ' Iera ' flings backwards and forwards like a tank balanced on the end of a tiny pole which causes softened bubbles of audio to be ejected you, and they aint happy. This one is brodding and calculating with a dash of insanity for all you headpoppers out there.

' Fermium ' is where it all goes robotica on us. Kicking off with an electric static pulse wave, lightwave beats are brought in for backup and swarms of minature machines take control. All over the place like a swarm of ants, these tiny pieces of technology cause a flood of noise as their external attachments rattle click and scratch the surfaces they clamber over, covering everything in a dark film that slowly grinds to a halt as they gradually run out of power. Maniacs. ' The Trees ' is an electrifying adventure through a world of 2d trees and plunging basslines, all wrapped together with a thin intelligent string whilst ' Sublimit ' shakes you around inside the mouth of a wild automated keyboard who has drunk just far too many cups of coffee. Its a rattle clank processor, graph mapping journey into the unseen distance on the horizon, scuffle bots everywhere BEWARE.

This is just a lesson on how its done, its a rich disseration, the thickest manual in the world, the essential guidebook, all handcrafted by the minds of Rob Brown and Sean Booth. Every single time a new Autechre release drops, its an invitation to explore an immense crafted world that challenges you to take it all in, a ticket to another level.

One word and just one word needed for this one : Genius.
