Debut release on Benbecula from new artist ' Phrizzm '.

' small comfort ' has a flash gordon smiling face going down here, you can just see those 80's green and gold costumes already. Tied together by a regurgitating computers and washing beeps layers of richness build up and up into a thick cake like slice of electronic goodness that presses all of those luminescent buttons in your titanium face. Killer stuff.

Plodding tones and the imminent release of something majestic is what ' minutiae ' is all about. Foil like pops and exploding plastic murmurings begin to unveil the huge structure hidden underneath the wall of light, as unseen particle ricochets and fracturing sections of time, splatter all over the show in a display of intense power. This is all topped off by a ride into the centre of a marble coated in funk and ghosty sub calls, simply amazing stuff.
' Grasping the equinox ' takes your eyes out of their sockets and replaces them with windows into tomorrow and you witness a juttering semi rendered version of today with just a few changes, whilst 'empty your mind' converses with a mega tall rumbling robot with a distorted cushioned voice and tiny civilisations for eyes which emit so much information that its hard to take in. Be prepared to fill your imagination with audio.

' i miss you already ' floods emotion into the empty channel and takes you with it. The melody in this one really grabs you by the ears and rubs its flabby crystal hands all over your face, as spectacularly wonderful shimmering plastic films stretch for miles in every distance to create a planet wide layer of vivid colour and audio that has to be heard to really appreciate it.

Phrizzm ep is a stunning piece of debut music, one of the instant classics that will be played for many a moon. Inspiring stuff.

Well played 'izzm.

Sam
