J
Auer returns to the Boltfish camp with a new release entitled
' Assorted Elements '.
'
Roppongi Hills ' lets off a tiny firework which sprays sparks
and metallic heaxgons in all directions whilst bathing the
room in a thick mulchy light that has a funkladen beat in
its very core. Deep and heavy synth stabs make up the main
melody, whilst an airborn flicker from a porcelain birds
flight path gives off a crisp undercurrent, but the main
body off this track is a bass driven dark message from below
the undercarriage of an unknown vehicle deep in enemy territory.
All good. Get those think mechanised hands in the air as
' Disconnect ' sets the dancefloor alight in sector 78,
and will not let you escape. Slow motion replays of yesterdays
thought processes are displayed up high on translucent screens
for all the functions and patterns below to jack to. One
for the house droids out there. ' Icefall ' takes it down
a level with a sparkling interface laden with glowing buttons
and pulsing switches that captivates your attention and
staples a secret message underneath your eyelids. Secret
and sly.
The
final track on the ep ' Points ' dips into the house rhythm
again with a pounding bass which rocks the room whilst snare
like crackle beats snap high above like wooden clouds crashing
into each other and jettisoning 8 bit blood that falls to
earth in a pre dertemined shower pattern. Just remove your
secondary eyes and plug in your VR adaptor then get ready
to view the splendour in the assorted elements processor
party. Get on down.
J Auer takes it to pieces, looks at it for a bit, spots
a new way it can be reformed and forges ahead. Assorted
Elements is another cool release for the Boltfish camp spiked
with waterfall explosions, jittering raindrops and dirty
bass attacks. Recommended.
