Miles
tillmann is first upto the plate with his remix. Beginning
very ghostly and calming, like a new wave of wind breezing
over a barren wasteland, you are forced to envisage long empty
corridors and abandoned villages, as the rich sound washes
over you. Pulses of concentrated volume almost seem like an
attempt to get some sort of message over to you, which then
build up an almost orchestral like composition of squeaks,
minimal laughter and sub bass pockets that all combine to
bend your mind into smiling. Smooth stuff from Tillmann.
Cepia
get remixing next and burrow an acoustic intro into your
heart. The wall of audio glistens like a gargantuan slice
of transparent jelly as it wobbles and ripples in the midday
sun, projecting subdued beats and a heavily processed melody,
out to you via a reverberating speaker high above your head.
Mesmorising stuff.
Mitchell Akiyama takes it on next. Simple beatpatterns and
a plodding melody, give off an electronic awakening feel,
as tiny bubbles of emotion pop, crackle and murmur in the
background. Somehow a funky edge develops for this track,
with a wood breaking beat, that gives off a staticy aftertaste,
joined by organic motions that are sieved through the broody
synth tones and audio jumping vibe that has taken over.
I love it.
Sinking
remixes is a quality slice of remix action from the Tillmann,
Cepia, and Akiyama. Very refreshing stuff. Awesome.
