New release on the upcoming and quality label Boltfish, this one is by Japan resident J.Auer with Fading from here e.p ' "a laptop, a power supply, some software, some electricity and my emotions". Sounds good.

" i " ticks and pulses along like a clockwork cat full of marbles (in its big blue acetate stomach). Destroyed cat squeals and minature spaceships battle in the anti gravity air like flailing butterflies in a hurricane, as glass cubes slide down roughened gaps in your hands giving off dancefloor worthy melodies for you and your metallic gang to enjoy. Love it.
" iii " picks you up by your feet and flings you into tomorrow, for no apparent reason. The day you have already lived is a mess now, tiny robots cut and fold slices of history into small suitcases and slam them down, giving off bassy strikes from the foam lined carrying devices. The acidic like bassline, is ever present and prods you in the back of the neck with an elongated fingertip, rocking your head back and forwards to the destroy style melody. Its time to get on down J.Auer style.

Click, hiss, tick, zaaappppp, bvooooooo, did someone steal my land speeder?? because " vi " is trying to pass some kind of message onto me. Reversed 1up samples now drain the power from your lifemeter rather than replenishing it, with an evil smile on its face, as the horizon is pulled down to ground level by the heavy growing spacetime beatattack that is happy to continue working away. Try and picture the landscape bounding and retracting itself around like a rogue robot attempting to escape from the authorities, crashing his alloy arms and machine formed feet into public furniture as the chase continues, its something like that (if you get what I mean). Quality stuff.

" ix " with its snare head is trying to get into your garage again!, ah that pesky machine. The round flattened head of your friend catches on the spring fed door everytime he reaches for the handle and with his battery pack running low on power, it gives off a rich thudding spacerich bassline, that your feet cant not react to. " x " is partytime in jellywater land, and you are the guest v.i.p. You are bundled into the club by a big round robot, who says his name is ' Kotrol 9' as he spins you around above his head, you bash into the quiche like ceiling, knocking lumps of audio food onto the dancefloor, and the cleaner droids zap it into oblivion with their laser lips, and you wonder what the hell is going on.
I recommend smiling and dancing, as Kotrol 9 is well drunk, and this party goes onto 8am. Remember to smile.

"Fading from here" ep, lit up my sleepy eyes and brain on the dull sunday morning I reviewed it. Full of texture and character, blended with dark electronic arcade style memories, this one is another notch on the robotic belly for Boltfish and J.Auer. Keep em coming lads.

Get it, as its hard to believe its free from their www ( tracks iii,iv,v,vi and ix are exclusive to the cdr version which you can buy for a tiny sum from the homepage also )
