Second
release from the new hard working (hoho) Werk record label.
Actress is back to cut, ribbon and rough it up for you from
the london streets, lets do this, lets do EXACTLY this.
"credit
da 'edit" blasts onto the planet from above with a
barrel full of grimy hiss, a malfunctioning photocopier,
and a smile that has been cut into the monsters face with
a secret lazer. Your head instantly jacking to the beat,
is taken off your shoulders with the ambience that is created
from the mixture of moody beats, popping alarm calls and
the roughest of hip hop vocals, that bashes you upside the
face like a rogue mattress. Edit rewind it for the masses.
"Linear tae fuck" opens with the heavy heavy style
beat and continues with you tagging along for effect. Robots
on all sides wave at you like you know them from somewhere,
whilst at the same time, flipping coins full of bass heavy
fizzle modifications at your persons, creating a sparkle
melody of falling metals, with an undertone of solidness
that you cannot deny. Its all funkin good.
"krabstrakt"
gleams at you from the tiny square box it calls home and
releases a spore like cloud of vivacity, that is so dense
with pulse like beats, that you are gradually knocked off
your feet, falling backwards onto the shimmering floor.
Taking a seat for the meantime, you sit back in awe as the
cascading light show takes effect and your health meter
hits sky high levels and you drink up the commanding subcrazysmiledynamicness,
thats in progress. AWESUM stuff.
"giid" casts an intelligent line into the foray,
and takes you on a John Carpenter-esque journey into 1970's
film production, ploughing you deep into analog synth depressions
and top of the scale melodies, whilst "cross dresser"
is a techno rough it up venture into gameland, as you are
surrounded by energon cubes and nameless happymad characters
intent on making your stay a good one. Love it.
Actress tears it up and out, then spits the leftovers into
a perfectly formed rinse funk style lesson, in how to do
it, Werk style. Quality musics.
