The follow up to the very first Adaadat release that started it all off. Weighing in at a hefty 21 tracks long, its sure to be an insight into what the label is all about, and where its heading.

Here goes...72.19mins of fun...

Atom Truck take us into this new release with a live version of "Shitstick". The track is a super blend of insane breakbeats and cheering crowds, pumped up with amiga style soundtrack cuts and network jacking commands that surely must have had the room erupting when this one was unleashed. The quality Cow'p takes the baton and gives us "Contra 100 in 1" which harks to his infamous 8bit style, and doesnt leave a stone unturned. Manic stylings from the very start, rounded off by another freak crazy beat, and a whistling powerup sitting on a nearby fence with a mischevious look on his face. Insane.
Ommm then returns from his split release with Shex, to deliver an almightly slap on the face with "Somb". Sounding like a puzzle game in 2d, that keeps freaking out and jutting itself into 3d, this one is full of beeps and intelligent blips, carefully stuffed with spacebars and escape keys, attempting to escape. DJ 100000000 rips it up next with "baruserona", which drops, a satellite jamming breakbeat, with code breaking synth strikes, and powerful vocal samples, which at one point, break smoothly into a mario theme tune. ALL good.

Miklos "the accountant" kemesci drops a car siren induced robotic gyration of a angry electronic guirat with "Mal-funk", whilst Romvelope regurgitates a cut up vocal, which sounds german, but then sounds french, and all of this is overlayed with an audio feed of c64 dreaming, with one leg hanging off the bed. YES!. Donna summer slips "crushed pop" into your can of Pocari sweat whilst you areny looking and sits back laughing. Massive static drum beats, that are hassled by ribbon like birds, fluttering through the sky, dropping bouncy balls from their claw like feet, directly onto your shins and chest. Damn them ribbon BIRDS!!!. "Johnny Random" by the Doubtful Guest rewinds three weeks of your life and plays them back through the back end of a photocopier, and lets Wario loose on them with a paintbrush full of electronic beats, that evil bastid!, and whilst that is happening, Skyfish declare that its "Gateball time" by unleashing a minature ticking bomb, which has been to robotic hell and back. Bursting into life, by prodding you in the leg with a sharpened transistor, this crazy maniac spits out some warped message, that consists of electro style waveforms and prodigu esque rave tickings. Get down to it.
dDamage feat O Lamm takes us to the edge of every far eastern gamezone with a screeching fantasy adventure in "freezin the koala" (epic track) with Doddodo following up closely behind with "hxCx" that begins with a spooky chant, that instantly turning into a bassline ripping, voice malfunctioning episode, that is full of so much character, that your ears are turned inside out and coloured dayglo orange, for fun. Madness I tell thee.
The chaos instigator Ove Naxx returns to teach us a programming lesson with "King beat home". More of a battle between two processors, scratching and slicing across the motherboard, like two ice skaters intent on cutting some shit up. Hyper ticking drumbeats with explosions of glitch, that are so sharp, its almost dangerous to hit play on winamp. Easy, easy, PO! All hands up for the 'naxx!. CDR dont take no for an answer, and unleash "Ara (debouta mix)" which fronts up to you, with a glass like rotating face, that catches your lip on every spin, ricking your teeth in their sockets, but managing to keep you calm, with the slightly evil but mesmorising melody floating around in the distance. Drummania for all.

65 Days of Static then proceed blow the house to pieces with "the major cities of the world". Beginning slowly with a lo fi crowd applause, its not long, until a computer generated smiling drum attack pops out at you, grabbing you by the eyelids and plonking you on its shoulders, spins round and launches itself out of the nearest window. As you accelerate towards the ground like a falling star, fragments of glass catch the moonlight creating the richest of melodies, numbing you from any impending impact, by simply taking over your entire head with amazement. A truly amazing track, utterly classic stuff.
"Balloon flat" by Wildflower unleashes the remnants of a heavy house party onto you with no warning, with cut up MC samples from a cat, shimmering over the smile of a beat, and electronic mumblings from the nearest duplicator, thrown in for good measure. Dorothys magic bag definetly know what its all about with "The tony blair witch project". The 8bit gametune in this one, Im sure Ive heard before, or have I? Its one catchy number, that for some reason, has me picturing Megaman gyrating around like a loonatic on the bonnets of Dr Lights brand new car. Or something along those lines.

Box Jellyfish's "Hghh" is a date cascade of immense proportions, that having snuck through the heavily fortified streets, has found its way to your head, and now its time to partay. Jump to your feet, and robot to the heay styling bassline, as the scatterline drumstrikes focus on getting you moving, as just remember, it is mandatory. Quality shit. Miu then release what seems like a minature nuclear meltdown called "tin tin" into your soul. Jumbled sounds and jittering alarm calls, all weave together, with shopping centre echoes and rebooting mainframes waste bins, gently kneaded in. The soundtrack to central Osaka inside the mind of a pot noodle.
Horacio Pollard then takes us on a trip to a glowing planet, that is full of musical possibilities, welcome to "The plattner story".
Bump welding synthesizer callings release pockets of manufactured science into the water supply, as splintered delays and brutal programming lessons teach it to you straight. Lets do exactly that. Greypetcat purr contently, sitting on the radiator, next to the amp telling you a secret story called "Celebral Broadcasting". Generating itself from all of the trapped light in this darkened room, and translating this into an audio feed, you are treated to an almost heartbeat like bassline, full of phosphorous and bubble madness. Marbles clattering together, with painted on smiles, inside a metallic balloon. Top of the pops. Utabi rounds off this release, with "Taolfew", that injects itself into your veins via a red and green wasp that has its sting rammed into your forearm at this very moment. As the world begins to distort, glassy like rumblings and repeating key presses fill your personal space, and swirly people chuck out goblin like vocals at your knees. An ultra chilled, gas creating, button pulling investigation, into electronic experiments deep inside your head. Cool.

Trade and Almanac vol 2 takes the baton from Vol.1 and increases on it in every way. With a plethora of artists this strong on your books, all creating action packed, ram upgrade requiring, hard wired, mushroom cloud quality music, you have got to have a big smile on your face. If you love IT, then get this.

Pop your eyes into a dish and push them into your ears.

Super quality compilation.

Sam
