Feck, the last ten years went past quick, it seems only recently that the Warp10 releases arrived in the post from Warpmart, and Vletrmx annoyed the neighbours for the next year or so, but somehow Warp are now 20, and to celebrate they have created a Warp 20 Box set, here is some info :
‘The package features new songs, older previously unreleased material from Warp artists, tracks selected as some of his personal favorites by co-founder Steve Beckett and the top ten pieces voted for by Warp fans on Warp20.net. It also includes a beautifully produced book showcasing the label’s rich design history, along with an exclusive hour-long mix and a locked-groove vinyl set.’
I’m not gonna lie, I haven’t been a fan of a lot of Warp’s releases the past few years (except for AE, Boc etc), but yes the old school Warp still holds a place in my heart for electronic, so I am looking forward to the Warp20 (Unheard): Triple 10” Vinyl :
‘Secret treasures newly rediscovered from the Warp vaults. Unheard and rare tracks by Boards of Canada, Autechre, Broadcast, Elecktroids and others cut to 3 x 10” vinyl. Housed in uncoated card sleeves with debossed typography. Vinyl exclusive to Warp20 (Box Set).’
Did you just say unheard tracks from BOC, AE & Elecktroids? Yes thanks.
Looks like the box set runs at £85, which isn’t a bad price for all you get, so get pre-ordering asap.
